  • 1/2 medium white or yellow onion ((diced))

  • 2 cloves garlic ((minced))

  • 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth ((plus more as needed))

  • 1 4-ounce can green chilies ((optional))

  • salt to taste

  • 10 medium jalapeños ((halved and seeds/stem removed))

  • Red pepper flake
